The lighting is natural, its coming from the art gallery window its pretty equally spread along her face, the light reflects off the tan background. There are some shadows on the side of her nose and hair and arm. The model is facing the light with her torso and turning her head toward the camera. You can see her torso and head. The photo is taken vertical and my point of view was to the right slightly I was about 3-5 feet from the model. The lighting is bright but her expression and position are serious. In the other photo she was laughing but there was more shadow and less natural light.
Self
I was an art director, I instructed my friend how to take the photo, but I set up my position and lighting. I set the camera on me in a window as a silhouette there are lots of lines and shapes in my photo. Its all silhouette so there is a lot of negative space. ISO was 500, WB was shade, shutter speed was 1, 1 25th , and depth of field was small. I chose to take dance pictures in the window. They came out just how I wanted, I did not snap a picture of my face, I set up the camera and walked away then posed.
