This photo was taken at a barn in berkley. It is attached to an abandoned house but the owners use the barn still as sort of a work place. This picture shows the vines entering the house. The mood to me, is sort of gloomy, which is possibly the effect of the grayscale, and it looks as if the vines are nature taking of the man made barn in a timeless manner. The lighting in the barn was bright but it was night time so there was absolutely no natural lighting. The white balance was fluorescent, and the shutter speed was normal about one , one twenty fifth. The ISO was near 800. Depth of field was large at F22 everything was in focus. The distance in my shot was actually About 5 feet but I zoomed in. I took the image from below by a little bit, and my photo is Vertical. This does follow the rule of thirds because the Main object or focal point is not dead in the center. The lines of the boards is rhythm while the spider web shows pattern.

The Fence was across from the barn on the other side of the street in a prairie like field. The light was all natural because the fence was outside. The ISO in this photo was 200. The White balance was sunny, Shutter 1/125. There is a contrast of shapes in the photo between shapes of the fence and the organic shape of trees in the background. The negative space in the sky pulls your eye ti the left top corner, and the bold darkness in the trees pull your eye around the right, then the ole down the trees, and the fence around to the left bottom corner. The photo has a sense of depth with the way the fence nearly disappears into the background, and the focus is set on the first post.
peace and quiet one crooked post (odd one out) idea of timelessness (country vs. city) |
